Different Types of Healthy Soda Alternative Beverages You Should Consider

soda alternatives

There are a plethora of reasons as to why soda is bad for you. Because of these bad effects, I have decided to attempt and cut down on and eventually totally remove drinking soda from my diet. This is a list of soda alternatives to attempt and get off the soda habit for good. At the end of this article, I suggest you try one of these quick fixes to really give your teeth a healthy overhaul.

Fruit juice

Healthy Soda

If you are in need of a healthy alternative to drinking soda, then fruit juice may be what you need. There are countless alternatives out there that taste just as good and do not include any chemicals or additives. One of my favorite alternatives is grape juice. On top of being delicious, grape juice is also much healthier than most other alternatives out there, especially when juiced in the morning.

Coconut Water

Healthy Soda

If you are tired of drinking soda all day, then maybe coconut water will be a better alternative for you. Coconut water is loaded with calories, but surprisingly, does not have very high sugar content like most other drinks. Coconut water is also very affordable. You can easily toss a coconut into your morning coffee to wake up and feel much better in the morning.

Cola Alternatives

I think it is safe to say that everyone has consumed cola at least once in their life. Cola is also one of the most consumed beverages in the world and thus, its effect on one’s health should not be overlooked. However, I have found that there are some healthy alternatives to cola. These healthy alternatives have more positive effects on one’s health, especially when it comes to increasing your metabolism.

Diet Soda

Although diet soda is not a healthy beverage by any means, its consumption does not seem to be decreasing. Perhaps this could be attributed to the fact that more people are looking for ways to stay healthy and lose weight. As a result, more people are turning to diet soda alternatives for their morning or afternoon fix. This could be attributed to the fact that diet soda drinkers do not want to deal with the drawbacks of the traditional soda beverage. In addition, it is far less expensive than the traditional soda beverage and is often easier to carry around.

Bottled Water

For those of you who need a little boost in the morning, try to drink a nice glass of coconut water. Coconut water has been found to be very effective at raising your metabolism. When combined with exercise, this can help you burn calories in a shorter amount of time. Because of this, it is often recommended as an alternative to exercise alone.

Alternative Flavors

Have you ever wondered what kind of flavors you can get your favorite soda with? If you have, then you may want to think again. Most traditional soda is sweetened with sugar and even though most diet alternatives are calorie free, some may contain artificial flavors that can still add up to the number of calories in the glass. Therefore, if you are looking to lose weight and stay healthy, you will want to stay away from artificial flavors whenever possible.

Bottled Drinks

While the bottled beverage aisle at the grocery store may have the lowest prices, it is important to read the label when purchasing diet beverages. In addition, you should avoid any bubbly, fruit juices, carbonated wines, or sports drinks that claim to be low-sugar drinks. These products usually contain high-fructose corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, sucrose, or other high-fructose corn syrup alternatives. If you cannot find a good brand of bottled water, you can always make your own by using filtered water, fresh lemon juice, fresh lime juice, and a pinch of salt.

Conclusion

These healthy alternatives to pop a drink can still provide you with tons of vitamin C and potassium, as well as a number of other antioxidants and minerals.
